This is Kraig's brother Kurt. I think this looks like an advertisement for his Mach ski. What a spray!
"Hey, Kasen, can you pass me some of that dirt? My mommy won't let me play in it."

So we spent our rainy Independence Day up at Brenny's house in Greeley. Brenda and Darren live close to a park/duck pond that doubles as a flood plain for the area. All the excess rain water drains there.
After a delightful dinner of chicken and rice, Kraig, Darren, Brice, and Stacy decided it was time to do a little slip-n-slide on the flood plain. Let's just say the smell in the car on the way home is not something I want to ever smell again.
Number 2. Since it was so rainy, we did a few fireworks and sparkles under the front porch of Brenny's house. After you watch this, I hope every one of you seeks the opportunity to be with Brenda as she dances through the aisles at Walmart. Enjoy!
Joshy gets his dance moves from his Daddy.
Where was I while he was getting so big? I distinctly remember his birth as if it were just last week.
It was so ideal. I was well rested; the surgery was a breeze; my recovery was fast. He was a happy baby.
I love my Joshy so much. Our family wouldn't be the same without his witty sense of humor, his charming smile, his contagious laughter, or his strong will.
Ok, so just the cups and table cloth were IronMan themed. But we played a lot of fun games
and ate all of Joshy's favorite foods: Strawberries, grapes, goldfish crackers, oreos and strawberry ice cream. (note to self: Serve ice cream cones instead of cake at all other birthday parties)
Here are a few other cute photos from the party. I just can't resist.
This was right before Aunt Brenda dropped Tommy on his head :)
And this one didn't occur at the birthday party (it wasn't that kind of party), but I just about laughed my head off when I saw all of the boys' expressions.
I love you, my Joshy! Happy Birthday, Sunshine!

I bought this sun shade at a yard sale for $5. I was one of the 3 smartest things I brought to California.

Kraig got stung by a Stingray. And just to debunk a common myth: You don't need to pee on a Stingray sting. That's jellyfish. Steve Irwin died of a Stingray sting to his heart. Kraig didn't die (thank heavens!). It's apparently not as serious when it's in your ankle.

Can you hear us shouting, "DISNEYLAND!!!"?
And Mr. Toad didn't get the best of Thomas on his wild ride.Sorry for the deluge of videos. Thomas discovered his little toy during dinner and Andrew and Joshua were laughing so hard at him, I had to catch it on video.
.
Enjoy!
Apparently there's no dignity when I'm trying to get smiles out of my children. Please enjoy at my expense :)
Kraig is the heavy breather in the background.

He's good at it, too. He always wants to sing Thomas songs, kiss him, touch him, and play with him.
Thomas at 2 1/2 months old. I love my smiley guy, and I know he loves me too!
We met with the early childhood specialists this week for their evaluation on Thomas. It went really well and both Kraig and I felt really good about these 3 women and how they'll be able to help Thomas as he grows and develops. We both felt that the specialists were concerned for him and eager to see him progress as he gets older. The neatest thing about the visit was that after they were done doing the evaluation one of the specialist said, "Well, if Thomas didn't have the diagnosis of Trisomy 21 we wouldn't be able to recommend him for therapy because he's perfect!" I swear my heart was singing. What an answer to prayers that our Thomas is just as healthy as can be.

Thanks once again to all the love and support we've received for our little Thomas. He's our snorty little lamb, and we love him!
